A National Trust heritage building managed by the Balmain Association. A sandstone building requiring conservation work.
The Watch House is available for rent as a gallery exhibition space for Art, Sculpture, Pottery and Crafts.

The exhibition showcases the work from all our members at hARTstART over the last 12 months. We are a small artgroup who meet in Rozelle every Tuesday night. We explore expressive and modernist painting methods.

A diverse exhibition of original handcrafted textiles by four artists exploring the theme ‘Nature, Harmony & Memory’. Drawing on their individual backgrounds in interior design, costume design, textile design and illustration they use fabric as a common medium and are working together for the first time. The exhibition includes silk screen printing, shibori technique, textile design, digital prints, fabric collage and mixed media.

Come and browse the Balmain Association’s publications as well as other historical journals. Two new publications are From Balmain to Glebe, 3rd edition and Leichhardt District Heritage Walks produced by the Heritage Group of Leichhardt District. An Association member will help you with questions about your family or the house you live in.

Local artist, Charles Plisek, passed away on May 4, 2010. A wonderful portrait painter - in the true European tradition - Charles left some beautiful works behind which are in this exhibition.

14 - 15 Aug The Autumn Set

A group of artists will put together a collection of approximately seventy of their current works in oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolour and drawings. Years of painting together,
between them they offer an extensive variety of different styles from landscapes, seascapes, portraits and many more.
