My Art practice responds to the outback Landscape of Far North West NSW collecting natural and Industrial found objects examining their co-existence on the landscape. The memory and markings in the found objects are my focus of research underlining the landscape’s history of outback NSW and the lands of Mutawintji, rich in Aboriginal culture. Reappropriation of these objects into sculptural assemblages evoke a memory of Indigenous communities, Industrial mining and farming history with the traditional practice of woven vessels for gathering representing a whole history. The casting of some objects in bronze symbolises the historical footprint of these histories and traditions.
